Research at the TRAIN lab is focused on the application of technological advances in the areas of sensors, activity monitors, gaming and virtual reality (VR) for the assessment and rehab interventions for individuals with Parkinson disease. Research projects in this lab have spanned across the domains of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health, the areas of stakeholder initiated research for physical activity and knowledge translation in the area of gaming and VR for rehabilitation. Research in this lab has been supported by funding from the UW-Dept. of Rehab Medicine, Royalty Research Fund – University of Washington, Institute of Translational Health Sciences- University of Washington & the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI).
